My capstone project for General Assembly's Software Engineering Immersive -- a resource management tool for game masters running long campaigns of Blades in the Dark. The toolkit pulls random elements from a database to generate crucial world-building set-pieces, and allows users to save these tools to their account, with added notes.
Initially built over 12 days, for purely selfish reasons, with clear goals for adding increased functionality. I cannot stress enough how selfish these reasons are. I'm tired of rolling a million dice during game prep.

React front end | Express API | MongoDBPerhaps my most ambitious project at General Assembly - and certainly the one poised to do the most good. Built in one week with my good friend Jason Harris, Kind is proof-of-concept of an application designed to remind its users to slow down and, as it were, be kind to themselves.
Kind uses Cron and Twilio to send users positive affirmations at random intervals and routine reminders of small self-care tasks that are easy to lose track of. Actual usability is currently severely limited, given the nature of Heroku's servers, but further functionality is coming soon.

This was a client project, built over one week with two other developers - Binay Bishwakarma and Liz Kane. Wayfarer is a travel site, designed for users to be able to share stories and photos of their favorite cities.
My focus was front end design, based on a provided color palette and wireframes, while providing back end support.
Django | PostgreSQLMy very first project at General Assembly, thrown together in just four and a half days after two weeks of instruction on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Presented with the task of building a browser game in a very limited span of time, I succumbed to hubris and chose the rulesiest game my instructors let me.
It's about as rough around the edges as you'd expect, given the timeframe and my experience level at the time -- but I'm very excited to refactor it now that I actually know what I'm doing.
Yes, I know some of the discs are on the wrong points. In my defense, I was completely unhinged at the time.
